All that 'starts' well 'ends' well

"However hard it gets when you miss someone you love, however much it kills

to be a lonely soul, living with the ray of hope that everything is not permanent is

not easy to console yourself with! 

I was a total kid without him around, but when I remembered my granny's words -

'all that starts well ends well' I felt relieved as it holds good for everything in life..."

I sit here at my desk sipping hot coffee,

Thinking if I'd ink my 'love biography'

Missing the good times spent with him for hours,

I am already drenched in solitary showers.

     Life was at its best speed when we weren't so busy,

     Lost in planning out the future and things that made me fussy!

    Cuddling and holding hands were nothing less than 'nirvana',

    Responsibilities and monotonous routine were now the sad phenomena.

Whenever I am idle, I long to be with him-

Keeping myself busy with yoga or gym,

However hard I try, I cannot get over his thoughts!

His absence pushes me into darkness, my heart tangled in knots.

    All that I do is shed tears profusely,

    With his void in my world I’ve become so timid.

    My heart and soul feel like an empty shell

    My only hope that keeps me grounded is 'all that starts well ends well'!

Trauma and pain

"There are times in life when all you see is trauma and pain.

Life is not a bed full of roses nor thorns. "

A person doesn't die when his soul drifts apart,

Death encounters when a person loses heart -

Broken, shattered, let down with an unstable mental state,

It is the kingdom of sadness that leads to a screwed fate.

      When you’re not at fault, yet you get all the blame,

      Living life any further starts to seem quite lame,

      Life becomes a journey filled with trauma and pain

      Dreams, desires and confidence just happen to drain.

Tears roll down like monsoon rains until it dries,

Everything seems like a failure, despite a hundred tries!

Colourless world, charmless life it’s just melancholy around

Nothing seems to be more peaceful than a burial ground.

      Being torn into two halves, both filled with grief,

      Giving up is the only option like a lost thief-

      Life is like a ship with storms, just too full of frail,

      But remember - "it is always a happy note, that ends every tale!"

I'm yours

You came like a dream

I can be brave, I can be strong,

When it comes to you, I'm proven wrong!
The wave of insecurity is already washing away,
The shores of my life from sunny to grey!    

      The moment you will disclose the decision of your life,
      It may be a gift or may be a sharp knife.
      Everything seemed so bright though it was still uncertain,
      Now that I reside in the dark side of the sad mountain.

I've gone numb to even feel the breeze gushing over me,
In your love I have become a terrible spree!
You were the spark that I saw amongst the crowd,
You already seem to blur out, your absence is loud!

      You came like a dream - A bright flash of happiness 
      Now all that I see is that I've landed up in a mess!

Tequila and lime

"One of the best things ever happened to me,

I had to ink the very next moment and so did I!"

There I stood dressed in pink for the first sight,

The sight of him and he appeared so bright.

The clear glowing skin with traces of his stubble

Breathtaking smile, sharp nose, his eyes twinkled.

      There he stood like a stud amongst the crowd,

      He was handsome with his attitude so loud.

      I blushed at the start but held my guard all the time,

      Yet we gelled so well in no time like tequila and lime.

I felt like a princess cause he was a gentleman.

With him I longed to pause the time, oh damn!

Every moment spent just carved deep in my mind-

I could only see him and to everything else I turned blind

      I went crazy, gazing into his eyes

      "You're beautiful", he whispered and broke the Ice!

      We held hands and walked in the golden gleam,

      It all shattered in seconds, 'It was just a dream'.

Game of Life

"I was depressed... Life seemed pathetic and it could not get any better!"

Believe in yourself, till the stars you will go,

Until you do not attempt, you'll never know.

Troubles sized in mountains and sorrows piled in heaps,

Never give up anyway cause only a loser weeps.

      What others think of you is none of your business,

      Hovering about needless issues, life becomes a mess!

      Be yourself, try your best, mark these words in mind -

      If so you'll never feel betrayed and you'll never have to wind!

Life seems full of potholes, stay alert and awake

How you take it all, is about how you're going to make it.

Make life worth living, it's all about how you do so -

That you wouldn't end up cribbing or start to feel low.

      Life is a simple game, played by everybody on earth,

      The only game that is played since the time of birth,

      Live every moment of life, like it is the last,

      Think everyday's a party and just have a blast!
